It seems that a child star these days is worth about $295,000. Not per film, but for the actual child. At least that is the supposed price asked for by nine year old Rubina Ali’s dad when an undercover journalist tried to buy the little girl, who starred in Slumdog Millionaire.
In negotiating the deal with the undercover News Of the World journalist, the little girl’s father said, “The child is special now. This is NOT an ordinary child. This is an Oscar child!”
Daddy Dearest thought that selling the little girl to a rich man would be the best thing for him and Rubina.
The best thing for him is to go to jail and be sold to his bunkmate Bubba.
