Despite all the rumors over the past few months and her character’s cancer story-line, Katherine Heigl says she isn’t actively trying to leave Grey’s Anatomy. 

In an interview with US magazine, Heigl says that while she wants to stick around the hit TV show, she has no idea what’s in store for her character, Izzie.  Izzie was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and even though her brain surgery was a success, there is only a 5% chance that she will live.

At a party celebrating the shows 100^th episode, Heigl told the associated press that “I was assuming that [Izzie would die] at one point, and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go.”

Series creator Shonda Rhimes is staying closed mouthed about Izzie’s fate, as well as what goes on during the 100^th episode.

“The only thing I’ll tell you about the 100th is that it takes place on Meredith and Derek’s wedding day. That’s big … and that’s all I’m going to say.”

While I’ve never been a fan of this show, I have been tuning in this season.  Hallucinations, post traumatic stress and a wedding ring being drunkenly pitched into the woods.  What more can I ask for?
