When asked about the Chris Brown Rihanna incident, most stars seem to be, well, kinda wishy washy about the whole thing.  They either say something corny like, “Rihanna is in my thoughts” or they say nothing at all.

Leave it to one of the relative goody goodies in the music biz, Hilary Duff, to support Rihanna while also saying what Brown did was wrong. 

When Duff spoke to Extra about the alleged beating she had this to say:

“I wish her all the best and want to let girls out there know that it’s never okay to be treated like that.”

So far, this is the most eloquent, and honest, comment on the whole event that I have heard. 

Now that Rihanna has apparently decided to get back together with Christ Brown (excuse me while I bash my head against my desk) it seems that Hollywood has decided to FINALLY start talking about it.  And while most people are still tip toeing around the topic, others are full on coming out either for or against Chris Brown.

Jay-Z has recently said that he is trying to get Rihanna in contact with Tina Turner, herself a former victim of domestic violence.  And after seeing pictures of Chris Brown laughing it up and playing on a sea-doo over the week end, Usher is of the opinion that the singer should show a little remorse for his alleged beat down on Rihanna.  In a video taped by Jermaine Dupuis for the upcoming series “Living the Life”, Usher is as unimpressed as the rest of us at the pictures of a happy, smiling Chris:

“I’m a little disappointed in this photo. After the other photo [the pic of a bruised Rihanna]? C’mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man’s on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?”

But not everyone is tks tsking Brown.  Suge Knight recently told TMZ.com that “Chris Brown’s the little homie. I got more love for Chris Brown than anybody.” Apparently Suge become the number one fan of Brown after his daughter was pulled on stage at a Chris Brown concert and the singer sang happy birthday to her. “It showed a lot of respect and I respect him for that. So therefore, I’mma ride with him 1000 percent.”

Sure you are Suge. Women beaters must stick together, right?

When asked about his daughter reportedly getting back together with Chris Brown, Rihanna’s father was a fountain of support. He told People magazine that “Whatever road she chooses, I’m behind her.”

WTF?  You’re showing your support by okaying her decision to go back to the man that allegedly choked her into unconsciousness only three weeks ago?  And the icing on the cake is that he went on to say that, “She’s a smart girl.”

While she may be smart, she’s also probably traumatized and confused.  She doesn’t need her Dad saying it’s okay to go back with Brown.  She needs her Dad to do what my Dad would do:  go after Brown with a shovel.

I just don’t get it.  At all.  People magazine is reporting that for some reason Rihanna has decided it’s a good move to get back together with Chris Brown.   Apparently the two are spending some quality time together at Sean Comb’s estates on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

A source tells People that “They’re [Chris and Rihanna] together again. They care for each other. While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

So love is never having to say “I’m sorry for beating the crap out of you”?  Interesting.  Where I come from love doesn’t involve choking or bite marks. 

I wonder if Rihanna has thought about the message she is sending out to all of her young, and very impressionable fans?

While filming VHS1’s popular Storyteller Kanye West felt the need to weigh in on the Christ Brown/Rihanna incident by asking the audience “Can’t we give Chris a break? … I know I make mistakes in life.”  

I’m actually impressed that Kanye has kept his big mouth shut on the topic up until now.  And no, Kanye, we can’t give Chris Brown a break.  There are mistakes and then there are assault charges.

While Kanye is asking us to give Chris Brown another chance, other artists are distancing themselves from Brown.  Ciara has reportedly backed out of a collaboration with Brown. Her song Turntables was supposed to feature Brown, but now it appears that may not be the case. 

When talking about the tune, Ciara says, “Turntables will be on the album. Now you may hear it a little bit differently than what you’ve heard it, but in a cool way.”

If this is true, Ciara is not the first artist to pull out of a collaboration with Chris Brown. Flo Rida has backed out of his collaboration with Brown.  Brown was supposed to be on Flo Rida’s upcoming album, R.O.O.T.S.

Hey, what can I say?  You reap what you sow.

In typical abuser fashion, Chris Brown has reportedly showered Rihanna with gifts for her 21^st birthday in an effort to win her back.  The gifts included a diamond necklace, bracelet and an iPod.

A source told the Daily News “He [Chris Brown] knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”

In the doghouse, eh?  God, it’s not like he forgot their anniversary or left the toilet seat up. I’d say he’s in a bit more that the doghouse.  Hopefully he’ll end up in the bighouse, if the allegations of abuse are true.

The source goes on to say that Rihanna may be stupid enough to take Brown back. “Rihanna so wanted Chris with her on her big day, but obviously realizes why they can’t be together right now. But it’s becoming more and more clear that she can’t be without him.”

Here’s hoping that this one stays a rumor.

Well, it took longer than I figured it would, but an official police picture of a bruised and battered Rihanna has been leaked to TMZ.com.  At first people thought that maybe this was another bogus pic like the previous one, but the LA police department has put out a news release saying that they are investigating the leak and that there will be serious consequences for the party responsible.

I could show it here, but odds are you’ve seen it already.  And, quite honestly, I don’t want to.  The girl has been through enough and that picture should never have been seen by anybody outside of law enforcement and hopefully a jury.

Rihanna is said to be doing fine and flew back into LA Thursday, a day before her 21^st birthday.

Many who watched the Grammys last night realize that golden couple Rihanna and Chris Brown were noticeably absent from the awards show. Heck, both Rihanna and Chris were even supposed to perform. While all the other musical heavy weights were getting reading for their big night, a warrant was issued for Brown’s arrest in an assault charge. He supposedly verbally threatened and physical assaulted a woman. While the victim’s name is not being released, witnesses are now saying that it was, indeed, Rihanna.

Her spokesperson claims that she was absent from the Grammys due to traffic issues. Uh huh. But Al Green, who did a duet with Justin in place of Rihanna said that they only had two hours to get ready for the performance. Two hours notice? Where in the Hell was she driving from? Seems a bit hinky to me.

The police are neither confirming nor denying that the female victim was Rihanna but Brown was released on $50,000 bail after being booked for making criminal threats. And reports are slowly trickling out that the two got into a huge fight on the way back from Clive Davis’ pre Grammy party and the songstress called 911 after she was assaulted and Brown fled the scene on foot.

*Update: Sources are now reporting that Rihanna had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for severe facial lacerations and was released during the night. I can only imagine how crazy the paparazzi is going to trying to snap that first shot of her injuries.
