Remember that leaked photo of a bruised and battered Rihanna? Well, it looks like that may just result in all charges against Chris Brown being dropped.
In court yesterday, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, was granted yet another delay in the case. He plans to file motions that have something to do with police discipline records, which may very well be the first step in seeking a dismissal for the case because of police leaks, most importantly the Rihana picture.
Brown has already pled non guilty to all charges.
He’s due back in court on the 28th of May.
If the charges are dismissed, I think the crap will hit the fan. But even Chris Brown gets off on the charges, I don’t think his career will.

As you can well imagine, Rihanna’s father was none too pleased about the fact that Chris Brown plead non guilty to the charges of beating up the pop star.
Ronald Fenty tells USweekly.com “So what happened? Somebody else did this to Rihanna then? I just would like to see justice go in the right direction. I don’t want his career to be damaged – it’s damaged already. I think he’s a talented guy, but everybody should have to pay. When you do the crime, you do the time. I don’t want to see him locked up for a long time – I just want him to acknowledge and get some help. Who did it? That’s the question now. If he’s not guilty, who did it? He should say ‘guilty’ and let the court be leaning into him and try himself to the mercy of the court, see if he gets a fine… Now he’s going to go beyond that and it could go longer, it can be even worse. It can be worse for him in the long run.”

Sure, we were all expecting it, but weren’t we also hoping that Chris Brown would be a man and own up to what he did? Well, it seems that ain’t gonna happen. Brown plead not guilty in court today to beating girlfriend Rihanna. Rihanna herself decided to travel to her home country of Barbados for the arraignment.

According to AngryApe, Rihanna and Wilmer Valderrama were recently seen out and about and were very chummy. The two were at Geisha House in Hollywood for Wilmer’s weekly karaoke night.
A source told The Mirror, “Rihanna looked so pretty and Wilmer could hardly take his eyes off her. They were chatting and laughing for ages. They looked pretty cosy [sic] and relaxed in each other’s company. Wilmer was all charm and even had a bottle of champagne for Rihanna.”
Could this be a new romance for Rihanna? Maybe, especially since there are rumors floating around that Rihanna and Chris Brown are taking a “break”.
Personally I’m not a huge fan of Wilmer, but if Rihanna feels that she has to date, he’s definitely a safer choice than Brown. Or maybe Wilmer is simply a friend, something Rihanna definitely needs right now.
So, what do you think? Friendship or blossoming romance?

Rumors has it that while Rihanna attempts to get her life back to normal by partying it up and being seen out without Brown by her side, she is fearful that her beater boyfriend will expose a sex tape of the two.
A source says that while Rihanna is okay with her sexuality, she’s also a very private person.
“Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality. But she’d be mortified if her friends and family found this out! This whole beating incident is terribly humiliating for her. She’s already traumatized and will do anything to make it all go away as quickly as possible. The last thing in the world Rihanna wants is to see herself in the sex videos all over the Internet! She’s an intensely private person.”
Seriously, folks, I can’t see Brown being stupid enough to leak a Rihanna sex tape. His career is having a hard enough time as it is. But then again, he was stupid enough to beat the crap out of her in the first place.

Evan Rogers, who discovered Rihanna and is considered a close mentor of hers, breaks his silence in an exclusive interview with EW. While the interview is in no way super revealing, or really very deep, Rogers did touch on the topics of separating personal from professional life and the fact that fans love her for her music.

Chris Brown’s manager, Tina Davis, is denying that she ever had a sexual relationship with her client. In a statement through her lawyer, Davis also makes it clear that she never sent any emails to Brown.
“The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.
If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements.”
Aren’t emails and text messages different?

Well, it seems that Chris Brown’s PR peeps are in overdrive attempting to help the singer get some of his good guy image back after being charged with assaulting girlfriend, Rihanna. Brown has decided to take himself out of the running for the two Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice wards that he was up for.
There had been pressure by Nickelodeon to remove Chris as a nominee, but the company had been refusing to do so despite a massive on line petition and growing backlash.
A spokespersons told CNN that; “Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time.”
Ah, poor Chris! Who would have though that beating the crap out of your superstar girlfriend would affect your career?

You gotta give it to Chris Brown: he has some serious PR peeps working for him! Seems that Brown, or rather his people, have decided that he should get his ass on the road to redemption as soon as possible.
The Chicago Tribune Sun reports that Brown and Rihanna, his victim girlfriend, are set to coauthor a book on abuse. Uh huh. A how to guide, maybe? Isn’t it great that Brown may actually get a chance to make money off of his beat down on Rihanna? God bless capitalism! The pair are also rumored to be heading out soon on the talk show circuit to talk directly to their fans about the incident.
Some other steps on Brown’s PR road to redemption include disclosing his previous abuse of Rihanna and also seeking the help of clinical abuse efforts. You know, so we really understand how serious he is about getting his career back seeking help.
Hmmm. All of a sudden Brown’s request to delay his trial until April makes a whole Hell of a lot of sense, doesn’t it?

After much speculation, it has finally happened: Chris Brown has been formally charged for his attack on Rihanna. Brown has been charged with assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. He could get anywhere from probation to around 4 years in jail. (I say throw the book at him).
More details are emerging about the incident including the fact that the actual attack is much worse than we all thought. During a fight over a three page text Brown received from another woman, the singer tried to throw Rihanna out of the moving car, but she still had her seatbelt on. So Brown settled for bashing her head against the door and punching her repeatedly while still driving.
When Rihanna made a call to her assistant saying that she would be home soon and asked that the police be there. Brown really lost it, telling Rihanna that “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.” He then proceeded to bite her ears and fingers, getting her into a choke hold until she was almost unconscious.
Brown is expected to plead out, but today his request to delay the case until April 6th was granted, although sources say there was no clear reason given.
Who knows? Maybe Brown wanted to get in some more sea doo time.
