Apparently there is not enough weirdness in the music industry right now and Michael Jackson is aiming to fix that.  He is reportedly planning his big come back, taking London by storm. The former King of Pop is finalizing a deal that would see him performing for thirty days this summer at London’s O2 arena.

According to the Daily Mail, Wacko Jacko has chosen London for his comeback because he’s still pretty popular in Europe.  Guess there is less chance of an arena full of laughing, tomato throwing people overseas.

According to organizers, “It will be the greatest comeback in the history of pop and there would be no problem selling out the O2 every night. No-one is concerned about his reputation and people don’t feel it is a risk.  Organizers are confident people will come from all over the world to see him. There have been rumors about his health but that is not an issue. He is capable of doing all the shows.”

Huh.  A month long freak show.  Kinda cool.

Michael Jackson’s Thriller is slated to become the latest big show on Broadway. The Broadway show will be based on the 14 minute video for Thriller, dealing with werewolves and zombies. Thriller: The Musical will have songs from Jackson’s Thriller album and also tunes from his 1979 Off the Wall.

The Nederland Organization has obtained the rights to the musical and says that it “will be the exclusive Michael Jackson authorized version of ‘Thriller’ and Jackson will participate in every aspect of the creative process.”

Oh goody! Wacko Jacko is basically in charge of the musical. I guess that means if you’re over the age of 12, no sense in auditioning.
