Seems not everyone was happy when Kate Winslet won her two Golden Globes last month. Kristin Scott Thomas has recently said that she was baffled by Winslet’s supporting actress win. Not because she thinks Kate’s acting is crappy, but rather that the role was too big to be up for a supporting actress award.

According to contactmusic.com Kristin said , “I didn’t get Kate Winslet as supporting actress at all. I thought the whole thing was rather odd really – it seemed to be incredibly unfair to the other actresses because (Winslet’s part) just wasn’t a supporting role. I don’t really think they should have allowed it.”

Wowsers! Nice to put that out there Kristin. Where I come from that’s called jealousy. It doesn’t matter what the intention is, comments like that just come off as snarky and bitchy. Especially in a British accent.

Both Winslet and Thomas hare up for Best Actress award at this weekend’s BAFTAs. Kick ass Kate.
