So, yeah, John Mayer is once again claiming that despite recent rumors he’s hooked up with model Scheana Marie Jancan, he’s actually single.  

When spotted by photogs in Sana Monica this past week end, John was quick to go on the defensive when asked about his new flame.

“If I had a girlfriend, she would be incredibly offended by me saying, ‘I don’t have a girlfriend’.”

Um, John?  We don’t actually think she’s your girlfriend.  We all just think you’re doing her.  There’s a difference.

So it seems that John Mayer, everybody’s favorite sleaze singer has gotten over Jennifer Aniston by hooking up with 24 year old model Scheana Marie Jancan.  The two met earlier this month at a party where Jancan was waitressing.

A source says, “Scheana was shocked and thrilled when John asked her out. She has always thought he was hot, and she said yes right away, writing down her cell phone number on a napkin. They flirted the whole time, and he told her she was cute.”

Other sources say that the two have been hanging out at Mayer’s place and Jancan is loving it.  “There is always food and beer around. Scheana said she has loads of fun there; it’s like spring break!”

According to a perezhilton.com following, Katy Perry snarkily took aim at John Mayer during a recent concert in NYC.  Fan Bethany emailed Perez to tell him that Katy changed up some of the lyrics to UR So Gay:

“I’m so mean ’cause I cannot get you out of your head. I’m so angry ’cause you’d rather TWITTER instead. I can’t believe I fell in JOHN MAYER!”

Apparently the audience went wild.  Betcha it put a bit of a smile on Jennifer Aniston’s face, too.

Okay, so yesterday I blogged about the break up of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer. As one reader was nice enough to point out, I may have jumped the gun on that one. Oh well, when you are dealing with “gossip” things are bound to go screwy from time to time. And, in my defense, this has to be the most confusing couple EVER. About two seconds after the break up rumors hit the net, MSNBC reported that Mayer was apparently Twittering about an engagement ring for the former Friends star.

Last Friday and Saturday he reportedly twittered “Visiting the Diamond Exchange in Tustin.” and “Welding an engagement ring for my girlfriend.” Hard to say whether or not he was being serious, because he has a bit of a warped sense of humor, but in my opinion I think he was goofing. But hey, folks, this is how rumors get started.

Meanwhile other “sources” are reporting that the couple is together but may split due to John wanting to focus on his music, stay low key, etc. My head is spinning. Anyone have any Advil or vodka?

Rumors are abounding that Jennifer Aniston has once again given John Mayer a boot out the door. Please say it’s so! I have never understood the appeal of John Mayer. The more I hear him talk, the more obnoxious and self centered he seems, as his latest attempt at humor proves. In a youtube video, John takes a stab at Aniston ex hubby, Brad Pitt and his critically acclaimed movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons”. At the end of the joke (which wasn’t all that funny and I refuse to reprint) Mayer admits he hasn’t seen the movie but can imagine how it ends. Ha, ha, ha. Very clever, John. Way to hide your insecurities.

Anyhoo, according to reports People magazine has indeed confirmed that the couple has split. Also, the fact that John, who seems to only be able to remain single for about two seconds, was recently seen out on a date with a blond means at the very least the creep is cheating on her. But most people are betting on the two of them being over for good.
