In a strange twist of events Jake Gyllenhaal decided to assault a camera man on his way into a courthouse where he was waiting to hear if he would be selected to serve on the jury for a- wait for it -battery case.

Seemed Mr. G was slightly peeved, and maybe just a bit embarrassed, that he somehow managed to walk into the door to the courthouse when he pushed instead of pulled. When a camera man for TMZ.com asked the actor how he was doing, instead of verbalizing how pissed off he was, Jake instead mule kicked the camera man in the shin before heading inside to see if he would make a good juror.

It was later revealed that Jake was excused from jury duty. Wonder if that temper of his had anything to do with it?
