On a recent interview with E! News Gerard finally spoke up about the rumors of him dating Jennifer Aniston, saying the whole thing is just that, rumor.

The 39-year-old said, “I love her to death.  She’s the coolest and she’s become a great friend, but there’s nothing going on. And if there was, I’d be happy to say it!”

Well, well, well, that’s just too darn bad.

Butler, who will be starting filming on the Jennifer Aniston film The Bounty soon, commented that he’s really looking forward to the kissing scene, saying, “I haven’t done it yet,” he said, “but I’m excited … I’m lucky – yeah, I know.”

I think I’d have to second that motion, but in Gerard’s court.
