Simon Monjack Cancels Brittany Murphy Event

The husband of late actress Brittany Murphy has apparently cancelled an event in her honor due to pneumonia.

Simon Monjack, along with Murphy’s mother Sharon planned a launch party for the Brittany Murphy Foundation whose focus is dedicated to children’s art eduction that was to be held Thursday evening.

Although an assistant to Monjack said he was cancelling the event due to his health, another source reveals, “He probably realized that everyone thought what he was doing was so tacky, so he decided to cancel.”

Monjack was asking for $1,000 per individual and $10,000 from corporations to attend the launch event.e pending.
