
So, while Billy Bob Thornton refuses to apologize for being such a twit during an interview with Canada’ CBC radio, he does want to clarify one thing: his reference of mashed potatoes without he gravy wasn’t meant to insult Canadian audiences, but rather the host of CBC’s Q, Jian Ghomeshi, who was interviewing Billy Bob and his band, the Boxmasters, who were opening up for Willie Nelson.
Oh, so you weren’t insulting a nation, but merely one of the stars and a respected Canadian musician. Well, that makes all the difference in the world, doesn’t it?
Apparently not, Billy Bob, because you still had your ass booed will performing in Toronto.
Oh and the rest of the Canadian dates? Yeah, Billy and his band won’t be playing them. An official statement on Willie Nelson’s website says the reason is than one of the band members and several crew caught “the flu”.
Yeah, right.
