Winehouse not wanted in St. Lucia?

Amy Winehouse is not making any friends in St. Lucia. Well, at the very least she isn’t endearing herself to former governor Jeff Fedee, who is convinced if Winehouse is allowed to set up permanent residence on the Island, it will be the end of the Caribbean vacation spot.
In a public appeal in which Fedee holds nothing back in his attempt to convince the powers that be in St. Lucia not to let the singer buy a house there, he refers to her as a “tattooed reptile”.
In the letter, which appeared in the St. Lucia paper, Fedee states;
“I would strongly urge she be denied residency status to purchase property in St. Lucia. Is she being given special treatment?
She’d be a menace and a dangerous influence to our society because the demons that inhabit her tortured body will have to be fed. Are the authorities going to ignore the indulgences in illegal substances for which St. Lucians are arrested and incarcerated.
I predict the relative peace and tranquility we enjoy will desert us and untold misery and disasters will visit us. Do not let that tattooed reptile become a resident of St. Lucia.
We cannot put our future in jeopardy for the sake of selling a house to a character that will draw to St. Lucia untold human suffering.”
Amy’s goal in buying a house on St. Lucia is to set up a home recording studio so she can record her new album without the temptation of London.
And from all the pictures of her in St. Lucia, it looks like she’s doing a super job of avoiding the temptations there.
